Keyboard and Touchpad

Lenovo always appears to deliver with its keyboards, and the laptop Ideapad 330 doesn’t break that trend.

While it is not ThinkPad good, I enjoy typing on the laptop IdeaPad 330’s keyboard. The casually curved chicklet-style keys are nicely sized and reasonably clicky. There is a pleasant weightiness to the legends, likely due to their 70 grams of actuation force. The tickets travel 1.4 millimeters short of the 1.5-mm preference but still better than the keyboards on competing devices. I wish there were backlighting; nevertheless, that is not yet a standard feature on budget laptops.

Performance and Graphics

There is no need to run my typical workload on the laptop IdeaPad 330 (Intel Celeron N4100, 4GB of RAM) is to discover that its performance is adequate for basic tasks, like sending emails to browse the web.

On the other end, the person can do the video chat a favor and do not use the laptop IdeaPad 330’s integrated webcam. It has a 640 x 480 lens, which is possibly the worst I have seen on a laptop and is quite a feat considering that the webcams we test are awful.

The laptop IdeaPad 330 remained relatively calm, even when we taxed it full-screen video by playing a 15-minute. The touchpad and keyboard warmed to 81 degrees and 83 degrees, respectively. Hence, the underside of the laptop breached our 95-degree comfort threshold, hitting 96 degrees.
